Alright, this post right here is really for those people who are confused and overwhelmed about what to do when trying to market their Network Marketing business online.
You see, there is just so much information out there, how do you know what’s right and what you should really be focusing your time on?
I mean there’s blogging, social networking, Google pay per click, search engine optimization, email marketing, different marketing programs and softwares, and the list goes on and on and on….
No wonder you’re confused, overwhelmed and frustrated! Who wouldn’t be?! There’s just waaaay too much stuff out on Internet land.
So let’s talk about what you should really be focusing on so that you can stop wasting your time and really spend time on what really works so that you can finally start to recruit more people into your organization and start making some real dosh!
The first thing that you need to understand, is that in order to successfully grow your business online, you need to have the right things in place. And I like to use this example. For instance, if you wanted to open a restaurant in New York City, there are A LOT of things you would need to do BEFORE you could even start serving food to your customers.
You would need to source where the best location is. Then you would need to draw out the plans to have the restaurant built. After it is built and renovated, you would need to put together a menu. Then you would need to price the menu appropriately. After that, you need to make sure you have a good and qualified chef to make sure your food is good. Not to mention the hiring of your staff like your maitre’d, your restaurant manager, the waiters, the dish washer…. you get the idea.
It is no different with your online business.
If you don’t have the right things in place, your business will go absolutely no where!
What’s the point of opening for business when you have no pots and pans to cook your food with, or no menu to show your customers. Just like there is no point learning how to market and generate leads on Facebook (1 of MANY marketing strategies) when you have no system to capture people’s information with.
I hope that makes sense.
BEFORE you even think of marketing, you need to have your online business set up properly.
Now, there are a few ways you can do this.
The first way is to do everything yourself. So go out there and hire a consultant to recommend and build everything for you. There are a few problems with this method. Number 1, it will set you back anywhere from $5,000 USD to $20,000 USD. Yeah ridiculous I know. And number 2, your consultant may not necessarily be a Network Marketer and may not really understand what is needed to make your business work and keep your conversions high. Believe me, I’ve seen this happen. It’s heart breaking. The other problem is this takes way too long to get everything built and set up.
The other way (recommended), is to use an online marketing training system.
I would really go with this option, because first of all, good systems are more often than not, built by Network Marketers. So they know what works and what doesn’t. The other thing is that good marketing systems will provide everything that you need to make your business work. Websites, capture pages, autoresponders, lead tracking, marketing training etc. And if that sounds way over your head, don’t worry, you’ll learn the lingo in a few days. It’s not a problem at all.
It is important to really understand and be educated on what you need to make your business work. And doing it this way, will save you time, money and lots of heartache. This is the only method I recommend and still use this for my own business. Unless of course you are very experienced, have made your millions and know exactly what you’re doing. Then option 1 is for you.
Once you have your system up and running and you have customized it to make it your own, then and only then, should you start marketing.
When I say “marketing”, I’m talking about getting eyeballs to look at your stuff. I’m talking about getting on Facebook, blogging, pay per click and all the other stuff that you see constantly being advertised online.
Don’t be fooled.
If you are wasting 4 hours a day trying to write articles or have bought a product that teaches you how to market on twitter, but you have no system in place, you will be wasting your time.
It is like buying a new paint job, a spoiler, or a new muffler without even owning a car!
It doesn’t make sense.
Get your foundation built first, then concentrate your time on marketing your business so that people will hear about what you are doing.
This is the easiest way to start earning more money then you spend each week.
But remember, just like anything, you have to be willing to invest in your foundation, otherwise your empire will come crumbling down before you can even start building it.
