Oh yes, absolutely. But then again, something that sounds so good normally would send alarm bells ringing in your head. And rightly so. With so much garbage flying around these days, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not.
But let’s just take a step back and look at what we’re talking about here.
What is legit, not impossible to achieve and can really give you a home based lifetime residual income? Well the one and only thing that comes to my mind when talking about these 2 things in combination; home based and residual income, is the Network Marketing or MLM industry.
In fact, those are the 2 biggest reasons, well besides the high earning potential, why people are so attracted to this industry. But did you know that 97% of all network marketers fail?! Sounds crazy doesn’t it? Well it’s true.
And do you want to know why?
The truth is, that Network Marketing companies unintentionally set their distributors up to fail. And this may sound ridiculous, but how else would you explain the insanely high failure rate?
The main problem is, that most Network Marketing companies DO NOT train their distributors on how to market effectively. In fact, all they teach them how to do is to sell the features and benefits of the product that the company is marketing. And 99% of the time, uplines tell their new recruits to use the old school way of marketing to gain prospects. These include talking to friends and family, making cold calls and prospecting at events, just to name a few.
Now I’m not saying that these methods don’t work at all. Because there are people who have made tons of money with these strategies. But I think it is clear that they definitely not that effective especially when only 3% seem to succeed with these old school methods.
What MLM companies should be teaching their distributors instead, is how to make themselves attractive, so that they can attract prospects towards them, instead of the other way round. Distributors should also be taught how to make small income quickly even when people don’t join their main MLM business so that they can survive in the business much longer.
They should also understand how to set up a duplicate system, where their new distributors can plug in and get trained effectively and easily. And lastly, they should be taught how to leverage their time by using tools like the Internet, so that they can maximize their efforts and reduce wastage.
You see it’s not about what you sell, it’s about how you sell it. And with so many factors against most network marketers, are you surprised that the failure rate is so high?! I’m not.
So if you’re looking for the magic opportunity or company that is guaranteed to give you a home based lifetime residual income, then I’m sorry, there’s no such thing.
