When I first got started with Internet Marketing, I thought the whole idea was to get as much of your content out into the world as humanly possible. Which is true – to a certain extent.

Here’s what to do:

1. Search for popular things on Youtube that you know would draw A LOT of viewership. For example: rock bands, movies, famous people, funny videos etc.

2. Only look at videos that have 250,000 or more views. The more the better. I like videos with 1,000,000+ views! If you’re going to leverage off these guys, let’s do it right!

3. Keep in mind that certain age groups and demographics watch different things. So when you have found your video, click on the arrow button next to the “views” and a drop down menu will show you the full demographics and location of people who watch the video. If the demographics fit your business model, then you’ve just found your perfect video.

4. Check the viewership graph to make sure that views are continuing to increase over a period of time. You don’t want a video that is getting less and less popular.

5. Send the owner of the video a personal message over Youtube telling them that you’re interested in doing some business with them regarding their video and it involves $$. Sometimes it takes people a while to respond so send as many messages out to as many video owners as you can on a daily basis. It takes some time, but it’ll be worth it.

6. When you get a response, tell them that you’d be willing to give them $20/year (this is up to you) to put an annotation on their video. The annotation would say something like “Bob Smith shows you how to earn $3,357 a week from home. See how by clicking the link in the description box below”. Then make sure you get them to put your capture page link in the description. Ta da!

This is a pure guerrilla marketing tactic.

How it works is, you are counting on pure volume. People that are watching a video will see your “ad” (annotation) pop up, and a certain percentage of them will be compelled to take a look at your offer because they are curious…

That’s how this strategy works.

Now if you get the right videos and a lot of them, you can create a real steady stream of leads flowing into your business on a daily basis.

Unfortunately LinkedIn is a different animal altogether.

You can’t just go barging in there pasting your business opportunity all over the place. These Manager and CEO types will see right through your BS and not even give you a second look!

So how then, do you tap into this “unique” Social Site?

Well I’m glad you asked.

Step 1:

Create a new profile. Add a professional looking photo of yourself and fill out ALL the information in as much detail as possible. This includes all your past work experience and what you are currently doing now. Fill it out as if you were filling out your CV.

Step 2:

Join as many large groups that are related to your industry as possible. Large means > 5,000 people. Add roughly 20+ groups. Sometimes it may take up to a week before getting accepted into the groups as they are moderated by individuals who have busy lives. This is NOT Facebook. Send them an email if you don’t get a response after a few days.

Step 3:

Write “lead generating” articles that offer lots of value. They could talk about different marketing strategies, mindset or training that would interest and educate other Network Marketers or wannabe entrepreneurs.

Connect with people who comment on your articles and give them a call to introduce yourself for best results.
