Now before those of you “morally” correct people jump down my throat, this post is designed for people who are using social sites like Facebook to network and grow their MLM business with like minded people. So this offline strategy I’m about to share with you, has nothing to do with hunting down your friends and family and hassling them into joining something they don’t want to join. It also has nothing to do with buying leads from dodgy lead sellers or prospecting some poor old woman who is trying to buy pet food for her cat in a supermarket. No, this is a focused offline strategy that when done correctly can bring in some seriously qualified prospects into your team – and it’s called “Drop Cards”. Now, there are many different types of drop cards out there, but for the purposes of this article, I am referring to the drop cards that look exactly like the US $100 bill. They look almost like the real thing, except that you can put your tagline and your email address on the back of it so people can get a hold of you.

So think about this. Imagine if you’re a budding entrepreneur and during your weekend you go to the bookstore with your wife, and are shopping around for some entrepreneur magazines, or some motivational books like The Secret or something like Rich Dad Poor Dad. You buy that book and as you’re reading it at home, a US $100 bill drops out of it. You initially think it’s the real thing, but then notice that it says “Fire Your Boss Today! The Top Home Based Business”. It also has an email address that you can check out on the bottom. Now, do you think that you would check that email address out? Especially if you are in the market and looking for ways to make more money? Absolutely! And the best thing about this is, you’re targeting the exact type of people that you want in your business. Just to extend from this, I personally use a gym in my city that is a little bit on the higher end. So most of the people that use the gym have corporate jobs or are at least middle class and can afford the slightly higher monthly gym fees.

The great thing about this gym is that they do not lock the lockers. So what I do three times a week when I go for my workout, is I slip the $100 bill drop cards into 10 to 15 empty lockers just before I get changed into my gym gear. So now, as someone comes in to use the locker, do you think that they will pick up that $100 bill drop card, think about the opportunity and check out my website? Definitely. And if not, they’ll throw it on the floor, and someone else will pick it up, and the process repeats itself. Amazing!

Now when you start getting your whole team to add this to their marketing arsenal, you will be creating some serious duplication in your organization. The best thing is, you don’t even have to go outside your comfort zone for this strategy, and you can build it into your weekly routine. Incorporating good offline and online strategies will bring in some serious results into your business. So what about Melaleuca as a business? Is it real and can money be made. Absolutely! They are a solid company and have a great product line. But like every MLM company out there, they still face the same issues that all MLM’s face. Some distributors cash in, and some don’t. That’s the name of the game.
