Melaleuca is a Network Marketing company that specializes in health and wellness products. They are doing very well and have grown very quickly over the last few years. Positioning themselves in the wellness industry has really helped them out, as this will be where the next trillion will be made.
So what about Melaleuca as a business? Is it real and can money be made. Absolutely! They are a solid company and have a great product line. But like every MLM company out there, they still face the same issues that all MLM’s face. Some distributors cash in, and some don’t. That’s the name of the game.
Unfortunately, Melaleuca has not found a way to decrease the percentage of distributors who are not turning a profit. This is an issue that plagues this business and will continue to do so unless some big changes are made in their training platform.
Like Melaleuca, most MLM companies teach their downlines the worst ways to market their business. Downlines are instructed to push their company and to push their brand. Most of the time they are given corporate replicated websites, which unfortunately, most people turn off to. And that’s a fact! And …
New companies. New opportunities. The chance to make even more money by getting in from the ground. How can you not be excited about that?! This is a trend that began and stayed when the Internet started to ramp up. And now what’s left is a lot of angry and broke network marketers, and a few people who are enjoying the benefits.
If you have just entered the Network Marketing industry or have already been in it for a while, you will see that the dream of growing residual income is all but gone. The harsh reality is that in today’s market place, the Internet has destroyed a lot of people’s businesses. Now, I’m not saying that the Internet is a bad thing. I’m just saying that it has made the game completely different and has changed the way we should be looking at our businesses online.
Hundreds if not thousands of companies are started each year on the Internet. And with this, hundreds of prelaunches every year. This causes a lot of network marketers to jump ship with the promise of getting in at the ground level. Everyone wants a good opportunity. Can you blame them?
Leaders are lost …
The game today is played on the Internet. And most people are drawn to social sites like Facebook and Myspace to market and network. Rightly so. These are great sites that allow you to access millions of people at the click of a button. What could be better?
There is a dark side to this however. If not used or set up properly, having 50 billion friends won’t make you a dime richer. It all starts with an awesome profile. So awesome that your new friend you just added, can’t wait to give you his money.
Ok, on to the good stuff. The perfect profile needs this:
1. A great picture
Put up a nice smiley picture, so that people can see your face and those good looks.
2. You need to have a tag line.
Something that captures the readers attention immediately. It can be a title in bold that says “Hi I’m Bob Smith, and I know you’re sick of your corporate job just like I was, that’s why I GOT OUT!!”. See how effective that is? And if they’re anything like you, they will definitely read on.
3. Tell them more about yourself.
This is your chance …
This could be one of the most difficult things to learn. But extremely effective if done well. It’s an art. Something that is not learnt in an instant but acquired over time. But having said that, there are little tricks and tips that you can start doing today that will make a huge difference to your sales copy and articles.
If you are looking to write effective blogs, emails or sales letters, then this is perfect for what I’m about to share with you. The trick here is to take the reader through a story and to get them emotionally attached so that they read the piece all the way through. You want to suck them in and get them riled up, so that by the time they finish the piece, they’re literally shouting “Where do I sign up?!”.
So how do you do this exactly? Well there are 3 basic steps you will need to follow:
1. You will need to qualify them:
What I mean by this is that you will need to mention a benefit or pain that the reader can identify with.
This can be done in the header. Something like: “Can’t Sleep at Night? Doctor …
